Audrey Justine Tautou (born Audrey Justine Tautou) is a French actor and model. Her fame was boosted through her role as the charming, shy waitress Amelie who won many awards. Tautou was often compared to Audrey Hepburn, due to the mix of elegance, charismatic performance and her talent. Acting did not seem like an ideal career for this pretty brunette who hailed from a family of intellectuals her father was a dental surgeon and mother was teaching. When she was in high school, she caught the bug of acting, that eventually led her to pursue a career as a professional actor. She joined the Cours Florent acting class and got her first part in the popular TV show Coeur de cible. Venus Beauty Institute gave her a chance to make her first feature film. She was well received for it. The daring actress likes to try out a range of roles. She has appeared in different genres of films that range from romantic comedies like Amelie and the suspenseful Dirty Pretty Things. She was born in France and acted in numerous French films before her Hollywood film debut The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
